Simile

Similes are a figurative language and a comparison to "like" or "as ... as".

"Like" similes use verbs. For example, "act like an animal," and "soar like an eagle."

"As" similes use adjectives. For example, "ablind as a bat," and "aflat as a pancake."

Similes can help people to compare two things in a more detailed way.

L.I. To describe things by simile.
