Maori

This week, we translated words from Te Reo Maori to English.

First, whaea Odie remineded us the meaning of 'roto, waho, runga, raro, mua and muri'. Roto means in, waho means out, runga means up, raro means down, mua means forward and muri means backward.

We completed a name translation document. We translated names like Keita, Ihapere and Rahera into engilsh names.

I enjoyed this activity but translating the words were sometimes hard.
